Description
For our kids, it may be hard for them to gather their thoughts about what and how to talk to God. Memorized prayers are great for young ages, but if you are anything like me you may want your children to start talking to God to form that powerful personal relationship. That’s why I made this printable prayer journal for kids. You get two different versions, both letter size. You can even use it to set your child’s own war binder.
HOW THE PRAYER JOURNAL FOR KIDS WORKS
Using the A.C.T.S. method children learn the four-step way to form a prayer.
“A” stands for Adoration. This teaches kids that we should open our prayer with praising God simply because He deserves it. God is might, merciful and powerful and this is a wonderful tool to help them focus on the attributes of God.
“C” Stands for contrition. This helps children form the habit of examining their conscience to see where they have disappointed or sinned against God. This helps to instill the behavior of running to God and not away from him when they have sinned.
“T” stands for Thanksgiving. This helps children look for answered prayers, and the everyday blessings in their life, in the life of others, or in the world.
“S” stands for supplication. This is where children can learn that we can go to God for all of our needs.
Once your child has written everything out, then they can use it to guide them through forming complete prayer time with God.
